Who are we
Chiltern Teaching School Hub (CTSH) is part of Chiltern Learning Trust, proudly supporting schools across Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes and Hertfordshire (East and North). We recruit, grow, develop and retain the very best practitioners within education.
In 2021, we were proudly selected to lead two of the eighty-seven Department for Education, centres for excellence. Our regions are: NWLSC5 (EE8) and NWLSC6 (EE9), spanning across: Milton Keynes; Bedford; Central Beds; Luton; Stevenage; East and North Herts; Bishops Stortford and Broxbourne.
Here at CTSH, we signpost, facilitate and deliver outstanding, nationally recognised, continual professional development (CPD) programmes to ensure that all schools get the very best opportunities for their staff. From initial teacher training (ITT) to executive leadership, we have developed a professional pathway to support every practitioner within education.
Our delivery of high quality teacher professional development dates back to our historic experience as ‘Chiltern Teaching School Alliance’ from 2011, when the DfE introduced teaching schools. Since then, we have created an extensive network of continuous professional development, training and opportunities for educational practitioners within all stages of their careers.
Our lead school is Denbigh High School in Luton, which has a rich, established culture and history of Outstanding education and results. Denbigh sits amongst the top 5% of schools nationally. We are proud to continue to build, draw upon and support our strong, local and national partnerships as we work together, towards excellence, ambition and inspiration.

Our Vision
High achievement for all is our shared vision where we work together towards excellence, ambition and inspiration.
We are committed to:-
Remaining local – We want to utilise local expertise and provide bespoke solutions which fit the context of our regions.
Collaboration – We are working in partnership with schools and communities to provide a better offering to all stakeholders.
High quality – We will ensure high quality at every point in the ‘golden thread’.
'Together towards excellence, ambition and inspiration’
