Early Careers Conference
We are proud to present our first Early Careers Conference on the 12th July 2022 at the Grove Theatre. The day will include keynote speakers such as Sam Strickland, Kathryn Morgan, Chartered College of Teaching, Bell Foundation and many more! The event will also give ECTs and trainee teachers an opportunity to network with curriculum hubs, Best Practice Network and other Early Careers Teachers.
When: 12th July 2022 9.30-3
Where: The Grove Theatre , Dunstable
This is a free of charge event open to all Early Careers and Trainee teachers across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Luton & MK. Tickets are limited, book now to avoid disappointment.

Explore how to make group time inclusive, responsive yet structured to challenge all children. This course will support you to incorporate elements of mindfulness, maths, literacy, rhymes and songs as well as a focused activity that develops skills and knowledge. You will come away with lots of practical ideas to implement as well as some planning examples to enhance your existing group time approach.

Improve your children’s engagement with Maths.
This is a course that aims to improve early years practitioners’ skills in enhancing the environment both indoors and outdoors and improving mathematical outcomes for children.
Practitioners will be shown how to evaluate their provision using the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale and encouraged to return to their school or setting and change an element of their working practice.

Infant/ Toddler Environmental Rating Scale (ITERS)
The Infant/Toddler Environmental Rating Scale is designed
to assess provision for children from birth to 30 months. ITERS-R contains items to assess provision in the environment for the protection of children’s health and safety, appropriate stimulation through language and activities, and warm, supportive interaction. (Harms, Cryer and Clifford 2006)
This one day ITERS course covers the following aspects:
